If you were a fan of comic books growing up, more often than not, you would come across the latest issue of Archie Comics. It was titled as such when the first issue was published. Years later, the word "comics" was removed, and the comic, simply titled "Archie."
Well, as much as I would like to say that this is the trailer to the blockbuster movie, featuring Archie, it's not. It's a well-crafted spoof of one - meant to be a suspenseful thriller I'm sure.
I did find the Archie trailer, "Riverdale" rather interesting though, and if you're familiar with the comics you'll pick-up on the puns - they're quite humorous.

Where Were You On That Cloudy September Day in 2001?
These were the words broadcast late last night, as Ryan and I watched President Obama explain what had just happened. He had given the order to kill Osama bin Laden after months of secret intelligence briefings kept under wraps from the American people and the world."I can report to the American people and to the world that the United States has conducted an operation that killed Osama bin Laden, the leader of al Qaeda, and a terrorist who's responsible for the murder of thousands of innocent men, women and children."
"Last August, after years of painstaking work by our intelligence community, I was briefed on a possible lead to bin Laden," Obama said. "It was far from certain. And it took many months to run this thread to ground. I met repeatedly with my national security team as we developed more information about the possibility that we could locate bin Laden hiding within a compound deep inside Pakistan."
I moved to Houston from Corpus Christi on August 16, 2001, and in less than one month's time, one of the most memorable events in our nation's history took place. I remember sitting down as a PBX operator at The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center when the news broke out, "the towers in New York have been hit by a missile!" someone yelled. At that moment, everyone jumped and ran to the main lobby to see the real-time events on the big screen."Today, at my direction, the United States launched a targeted operation against that compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan," the president continued. "A small team of Americans carried out the operation with extraordinary courage and capability. No Americans were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a firefight they killed Osama Bin Laden and took custody of his body."
Tears ran down our faces as we saw the images of people jumping for their lives and the anguish people were feeling while this was happening before our very eyes. The last time I felt so heartbroken was back in 1986 when the Space Shuttle Challenger, with all it's crew on board, exploded.
Never in a million years did I expect another horrific moment to happen before my very eyes.
"It was nearly 10 years ago that a bright September day was darkened by the worst attack on the American people in our history," Obama said. "The images of 9/11 are seared into our national memory -- hijacked planes cutting through a cloudless September sky; the Twin Towers collapsing to the ground; black smoke billowing up from the Pentagon; the wreckage of Flight 93 in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, where the actions of heroic citizens saved even more heartbreak and destruction."
"The empty seat at the dinner table. Children who were forced to grow up without their mother or their father. Parents who would never know the feeling of their child's embrace. Nearly 3,000 citizens taken from us, leaving a gaping hole in our hearts," Obama said.
"Tonight we give thanks to the countless intelligence and counter-terrorism professionals who have worked tirelessly to achieve this outcome," Obama said. "The American people do not see their work nor know their names, but tonight they feel the satisfaction of their work and the result of their pursuit of justice."
And I couldn't have said it better myself when Obama thanked our U.S. Military for Sunday's operation that they, "exemplify the professionalism, patriotism and unparalleled courage of those who serve our country. And they are part of a generation that has borne the heaviest share of burden since that September day."

OMG Hilarious! - Baking The Metal Way
Omg! I couldn't stop laughing, but this was simply hilarious. It uses a lot of really bad language, so if you're offended by this sort of thing maybe you shouldn't see it.
Have you ever wanted to bake cookies the Metal Way? Well Deviant artist schellen has given us a step-by-step instruction guide on how to do just that....

How Many Times Was Princess Diana Mentioned?
I have witnessed the marriages of two Princesses to their Princes in my lifetime, and can quite honestly say, Princess Diana was on my mind during the ceremony of Kate and William.
How could she not be? Here was the son of the late Princess getting married.
While alive, Diana was followed around the world on a daily basis, she was the world's Princess. And from her wedding to Prince Charles, rumored affairs, a bitter divorce, and untimely death, people were, and still are fascinated by her.
Jezebel had a very interesting article yesterday; They pointed out how the media, ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox News, MSNBC, CNN, and E! News, each had the late Princess on their minds during the ceremony, whereas BBC America didn't (or couldn't) bring themselves to mention Diana's name once.
I find this rather bizarre, considering it's an affiliate of BBC in Britain. Regardless of their omission, It was nice seeing Kate marry William and thanks to our networks who covered, Will's mother, the late Princess of Wales, it will be another memory I can cherish forever.

The Leader of the Birthers Doesn't Apologize
If none of you are familiar with Orly Taitz, I'll say it in three simple words... She's A Nut! Oh wait, is that technically three words since there's an abbreviated one? Oh never mind that - she's known as the Queen of the Birthers. She was born in Russia, moved to the U.S. in 1987 and became an American citizen in 1992. She's a dentist, a lawyer and The Leader of the Birthers! LOL, it sounds like a movie, which I'm sure will be here sooner than we think. In either case, on Wednesday night's show of "The Last Word with Lawrence O'Donnell," the crazy lady just wouldn't shut up. Lawrence had her on the show, because President Obama had just released his long form birth certificate that morning. He wanted her to apologize for the lies she spread over the past two years or so; Things didn't quite go as he planned - he had her kicked off the show."She also promotes a number of other allegations both related and unrelated to Obama, and has initiated a number of lawsuits on behalf of the "birther" movement." - Wikipedia
"I invited a crazy person on the show to see if a crazy person faced with the thing that the crazy person was trying to get for the two-and-a-half years could say something responsive, something human to the document that was released today."

Game Change - The Sarah Palin Movie Casts Hottie, Justin Gaston
Sarah Palin is looking pretty good these days... ha, ha, ha, gotcha! This is not Sarah Palin - it's Julianne Moore - one of my all time favorite actresses. She will be playing the Alaska governor in the upcoming HBO movie, Game Change. The Hollywood Reporter released this image of her yesterday and I'd have to say, she looks really darn good.
Of course Justin is a thousand times hotter.
The actress nails Palin's look with a bright suit, patriotic flag pin and similar glasses. She also ditched her trademark red hair for Palin's brown style, which she wears in a look-alike updo. Production begins on Wednesday for the movie, directed by Jay Roach and written by Danny Strong. Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman are executive producers. Ed Harris plays John McCain in the film, which follows the Arizona U.S. Senators failed 2008 Republican presidential bid. Woody Harrelsonplays Steve Schmidt, McCain's senior adviser. Temple Grandin’s Melissa Farman will play Bristol Palin, The Hollywood Reporter first reported Tuesday. How dare they forget to mention the most important actor of all, Justin Gaston to their column. He's playing Levi Johnston after all; Levi is Bristol's ex-husband.
Of course Justin is a thousand times hotter.

Knocking on Death's Door
Talk about amazing footage. When I saw that car in the picture to the right, I was like - wow, that's fucking scary!
I would never give up my desk job to be a storm chaser; Besides, I'm going to die anyway according this report - might as well live as long as I can. This happened in Mississippi the same day the tornado in Alabama destroyed neighborhoods, and came within yards of Alabama's University in Tuscaloosa.
