“If you can’t love yourself, how the hell you gonna love somebody else?” - RuPaul - - - - - - - - - - - “if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal.” - John F. Kennedy - - - - - - - - - - - - “Imagine finding someone you love more than anything in the world, who you would risk your life for but couldn’t marry. And you couldn’t have that special day the way your friends do – you know, wear the ring on your finger and have it mean the same thing as everybody else. Just put yourself in that person’s shoes. It makes me feel sick to my stomach …. When I shared a picture of my tattoo on my Twitter page and said, ‘ALL LOVE is equal,’ a lot of people mocked me – they said, ‘What happened to you? You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. At one point I had to say, ‘Dude, everyone lay off.’ Can’t people have friendly debates about sensitive topics without it turning into unnecessary threats?” - Pop star Miley Cyrus on her marriage equality tattoo - - - - - - - - - - -

Quoted - Andrew Garfield on Gay Marriage

Awww, Our Spidey in his "It Gets Better" T-shirt
“Of course I’m in favor of marriage equality. Same-sex couples should have the same rights as anybody else  - there is no argument against equality.... How can anyone argue against compassion and understanding?”

 - Andrew Garfield aka Spiderman to The Times of London on same-sex couples right to marry.

Gay of Thrones: Game of Thrones Episode 9 Red Wedding Recap

OMG, this is absolutely hilarious.  I just love Jonathan!

"WHERE ARE MY DRAGONS???"
He's the gay hairstylist who's been giving the recaps for the episodes of Game of Thrones.  And after this past Sunday's episode I needed this.  For those who have not seen the series or read the books, it's probably not a good idea to watch this.

Warning: The following video contains vulgar language and may not be  suitable for children.

I Haven't Been Fully Honest With You... (NSFW due to some upset texters)

Last month, comedian Nathan Fielder from Comedy Central asked his twitter followers to text their parents about a fake drug deal, and the outcome was absolutely hilarious!

This time, he asked his followers to text their loved ones, "I haven't been fully honest with you," and not reply for at least an hour.  I'm pretty sure some of them wished they hadn't done it. LOL.
The hilarity continues after the jump...

If Only You Could Share Your Coke

So what is Coca Cola famous for, aside from the bottle and the red and white colors?  Sharing.  Yep.  You've seen the countless ads about "sharing a coke", but I promise you've never seen anything like this.

Much like "The Thinnest Vending Machine In The World" I introduced you to last month, you will think this video is cool. Check it out, because you may find yourself sharing a coke sooner than you think.

Things We Can Do To Save The Environment - Issue No. 20 - Check the Label

Whenever Ryan and I buy an appliance or something new for our home that requires the use of electricity, we look at those yellow stickers that say "EnergyGuide".  I'm sure you've seen them.  And while the prices may often be a little steep, the end result is a lower bill.  And who doesn't want to save money and help the environment at the same time?
ENERGY STAR is a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency voluntary program that helps businesses and individuals save money and protect our climate through superior energy efficiency. Learn more about ENERGY STAR.
Giving credit to TIME,  I'd like to thank them for showing us the many ways we can help save the environment.  Just one person can make a difference, and it starts with YOU!

20. Check the Label

You wouldn't buy a car without knowing its gas mileage. Why not do the same when choosing energy-efficient ovens or even supermarkets and hotels? Energy Star, a rating system by the Environmental Protection Agency, will help you find them. Approved products can be pricier, but they cost less to power. Commercial buildings account for nearly 18% of U.S. greenhouse-gas emissions, but those with the Energy Star label consume 35% less energy than the average. By using Energy Star appliances at home, consumers can reduce their utility bill as much as 30%.

Make sure to follow Blade 7184 every Tuesday for a new issue of Things We Can Do To Save The Environment.  Each issue is thought-provoking, informative and may hold the key to saving your children and grand-children's future.  Please feel free to click on my logo to read previous issues.

Snap! Crackle! Pop!

As real as it is, this ad will either garner Dr. Ryan Lee new customers, or keep them from ever visiting a Chiropractor in their life. LOL.  Seriously, what was he thinking?  On a side note, is it me, or are all these girls young and beautiful?  Oh Dr. Lee.

Are People Really This Stupid? Issue No. 36 - Taco Shell Love

OMG, I don't even know what to say.  Are people really this stupid, or are we stupid for eating at these places?

Geez.  I know these workers get very low pay, and some need this job to pay for school, books, or other necessities in life.  But if you hate your job so much, don't make love to our Taco Shells.

While Taco Bell has yet to respond to this Facebook photo, KFC fired an employee in February for making love to some mashed potatoes.

An iPad Finger Painting Masterpiece

The Mona Lisa of the North, or better known as the "Girl with a Pearl Earring" is an oil on canvas painting created by artist Johannes Vermeer in 1665.  But today I'm actually blogging about Japanese artist, Seikou Yamaoka and his amazing video.  Using his iPad Mini, Yamaoka created a near-perfect reproduction of Vermeer's painting which is pretty darn cool.  Check it out.

Student Loan Debt Has Surprassed Both Credit Card and Auto Loan Debt

Not to burst everyone's bubble this morning, but student debt just surpassed credit card and auto loan debt by a sizeable margin and the future doesn't look too bright either.  Unless President Obama, Elizabeth Warren and the GOP can find a solution...

Courtesy of Mother Jones:
If you're one of the 37 million Americans with student loan debt, you're in for a real treat come July 1. That's when interest rates on federal student loans are set to rise to 6.8 percent—double the current rate of 3.4 percent. That deadline has lawmakers scrambling for a fix. There are a bunch of proposals out there, including Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren's call for students to be allowed to pay the low, low rate that big banks pay for short-term borrowing; a plan President Barack Obama laid out in his budget in April; and the GOP plan that just passed the House—a plan Obama hates.

Whatever lawmakers and the president ultimately decide matters a lot. Over the past 25 years, the cost of going to college has spiked 440 percent. Since 2004, student loan debt in this country has tripled, and now stands close to $1 trillion. Check it out here.

IKEA's Ridiculous Floor Plan - Just Sayn'

How many of you like shopping at IKEA?  It's been several years since we've been to one, but I'm sure we can all agree, it's the floor plan that draws us to their store. LOL. Just sayn'.

A Real Final Destination

I honestly believe I've cheated death on multiple occasions.  I won't waste your time describing each incident, but suffice it to say, most were in my twenties, and most involved alcohol.

Buzzfeed put together this video of a few blokes lucky to be alive, including a man who could feel a bear eating his brain, but he played dead.

Cyanide and Happiness: Built

Michele Bachmann's Real Retirement Video

Leave it to Funny or Die to make a parody of Michele Bachmann's retirement video.  It actually isn't too far off.  LOL.  Make sure to catch a special cameo by her "behind the candelabra" husband, Marcus.

How Is Meat-Eating Affecting The Planet?

I know that every Tuesday I blog about "Things We Can Do To Save The Environment" but looking at these statistics, it gets even more depressing.  Ugh, but I love my meat.

Saturday Morning Coffee Break: 41 Seconds

I posted this German short film on my old blog in 2008 and I thought I'd share it.  It's short, humorous, and pretty hot at the same time.

Today's Saturday Morning Coffee Break is about two best friends (supposedly straight), who have a kissing dilemma.  The blonde boy is dating a girl who just finished telling him his best friend (the brunette), kisses better than he does.

So he calls him up and discusses this with him...  what ensues is a kiss 41 seconds long!
If you wish to look back at some previous issues, click my logo below and enjoy.
Make sure to check out Saturday Morning Coffee Break every Saturday for another classic or current gay short film.

Is Megan from Mad Men Doomed? [spoiler alert]

If you're a fan of Mad Men, you'll definitely want to read the following conspiracy theories on Megan Draper's outfit last Sunday night.  And they're just that - theories.  Of course, the coincidences are right here, and there's no denying this could mean something big, especially since the series ends next year.  Also, don't forget Stonewall happened in 1969...  definitely something to make you go "hmmm...  "

Thank you, James St. James over at WOW for sharing this amazing piece.  I couldn't have said it better myself.

Sharon Tate Mad Men Jessica Paré Janie Bryant conspiracy theories On Sunday night’s episode of Mad Men,  Megan Draper wore what seemed like a weirdly anachronistic T-shirt with a red star on it. Not her usual style, and more ’80s than ’60s. But apparently the red star T-shirt was identical to one that Sharon Tate wore in an infamous 1967 Esquire photograph taken by William Helburn (pictured left). Helburn’s daughter tweeted Mad Men’s head costume designer, Janie Bryant, asking, “Dying to know if this pic of Sharon Tate inspired Megan’s look? My dad shot it for @esquiremag in ‘67. ” Bryant confirmed: “No coincidence! So nice to tweet meet you.” Since the exchange, an entire Reddit thread has formed, speculating about the symbolism of the shirt and any foreshadowing it could have for Jessica Paré’s character. According to Vanity Fair: “Like fictional Megan, Sharon Tate was an up-and-coming television actress in the 1960s. While married to Roman Polanski and eight-and-a-half-months pregnant with his child, Tate was murdered in her home by Charles Manson followers. Earlier this season, Megan admitted that she had suffered a miscarriage. While wearing the T-shirt in last Sunday’s episode, Megan is standing on the balcony outside her and Don’s Manhattan apartment while ambulance sirens ring out below — a nod to the city’s increased crime rates, which are acknowledged many times throughout the episode.” All of which could spell DOOM for poor Megan. Jezebel‘s Tracy Egan Morrissey has another theory, though: “While costume design on Mad Men has been as deliberate and layered as the writing on the show, the red star could also be a red herring. After all, Tate wasn’t murdered until 1969, but something else happened to her 1968 — she got pregnant just as her acting career was taking off.”

Man of Steel: Create Your Own Kryptonian Name and Glyph

This is pretty cool - I'm a member of the House of Van.
While all of us are anxiously waiting for the return of Superman in a couple weeks, Warner Brothers has given us the ability to create a Superman-style glyph along with our Kryptonian name.

Once you've created your glyph, you can download it, share it or upload one of your photos to the site and have the glyph superimposed on your chest.
