Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. One Hit Wonders - 001: Graduation (Friends Forever)

So who doesn't remember that one song by that one artist?  Ummm.  What was her name?  Oh yeah,
Vitamin C.

I originally started this series on Peter's Daily Blog, back in the summer of 2007, and have been wanting introduce it to my current blog.  Well, there's no time like the present.  Starting with my first issue, here is Blade 7184's One Hit Wonders...
A one-hit wonder is a person or act known mainly for only a single success. The term is most often used to describe music performers with only one hit single - Wikipedia
The following song was first played in 1999, reaching its peak in 2000.  Everyone in their graduating classes used it as their "class song", and has been used in countless ceremonies ever since.

I like the song, it's quite catchy and actually brings back many memories.  Yeah, it brought a tear to my eye.

Karma's A B*tch

When you have nothing nice to say, take anonymous revenge and then confess in a passive-aggressive letter. Oh, and really emphasize that you're "Sorry!!!"

Dear person,
I'm sorry I put a dent in your car. I didn't want to but, I did when I tried to park next to you. I am not leaving my information because you chose to use two spaces and i just wanted to park in one. The scratches are because I used a towel that had sand on it to try and clean the dent/paint off. Beaches are fun.

Please look your car over for the dent and scratches and each time you see them remember not to park in two spaces.

- Sorry!!!

Student vs. Professor

I guess the next time a professor tries to outsmart his student, he better be well-prepared. Better yet, take a class on student-teacher etiquette. LOL.

Too funny. I'd have to go with the student, he was quite clever.

If The World Were A Village of 100 People: Issue No. 12 - Sexual Orientation

This is the 12th poster out of the 20 posters I have shared with you over the past several months.

Every week I have been asking, "What if the world were a village of 100 people?"  And by using statistics based on the spread of the population in the world, Toby Ng Design created these posters as another way of looking at how our world is today.

Movies to Watch: Brave

This looks like a really cute movie to watch. It kind of reminds me of "How To Train Your Dragon" by Dreamworks, without the Dragon of course.

I'm a sucker for animated movies, so I think I'll mark June 22, 2012 down in my calendar.  Check out the trailer below.

According to Disney, the film is set in the Scottish Highlands and follows a brave princess named Merida, who confronts and challenges tradition, destiny and some pretty fierce beasts.  Throughout her journey she realizes the true meaning of courage.

The film features the voices of Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Julie Walters, Kevin McKidd, Robbie Coltrane, and Craig Ferguson.

Isn't This The Truth? Group Projects

So about two months ago they held a group project at work in order to achieve our annual goals for the department. The main topics were communication and what we would do in the event someone was out for a day or more.  Long story short, nobody really learned a damn thing.  Oh and btw, this chart is how our group project went down that afternoon.

Must Watch: Never Say No To Panda

When I saw these advertisements over a year ago, I swear my ass was laughing so hard I was crying.  The ads were for Panda cheese which came out with a successful advertising campaign that consisted of about five commercials.
The videos are still on YouTube and have already received millions of views. In fact, they were handed awards from Cannes Lions.  And why wouldn’t they? The idea is courageous, some might even argue too bold (hence giving it even more value), and relatively unorthodox. They’re simply hilarious.

The campaign was created by Advantage Marketing & Advertising (who were understandably ecstatic with the award).

The People of Wal-Mart - Part 2 !!!!

OMG, if you thought the People of Wal-Mart song made you laugh; Part 2 will have you rolling on the floor.

Jessica Frech has released her much-anticipated "People of Wal-mart 2" music video, and it's a real doozy.  LOL.  And you can also download it on iTunes!!!! Whoopees!

If you have not seen the first video, I highly recommend it. It's just as funny. If interested, I posted the Lyrics for "People of Wal-mart 2" after the jump...

The Joys of Being a Parent: Oh My Gosh!

You see, this is what The Joys of Being a Parent is all about.  If you can't handle this, then you shouldn't have kids. LOL. Just say'n.

In all seriousness though, I'm sure the mom's reaction was far worse after realizing what had happened.  She probably got pissed, then said, "fuck it, let me get my camera".  Sorry for the French, but that's what I would have said.  In my head, of course.
Mommy was not feeling well and had to stay in the bathroom longer than usual during which my two boys, ages 1 and 3 took my new bag of flour out of the cupboard and destroyed my house. This is from ONE 5lb bag. Don't believe me? Hand a full bag to a 3 year old and see what happens.

Stylish Piggy

My wonderful guy, Ryan loves piggies, and well, here's a post just for my love.  A cute little piggy in a sweater.

It's Purely Animal - Issue No. 36 - Petting A Baby Owl

You may remember my post from August, "An Owl As You've Never Seen It Before," if not, i highly recommend it.  It's a pretty darn cool video.  But this video I spotted on the Daily Mail, is simply adorable.  I've had a fascination with owls since I was a child and used to collect owl memorabilia growing up.  This video has surely peaked my interest collecting them once again.

From The Daily Mail:
And- unintentionally tapping into the passion for the curiously cute birds of prey-this incredible footage has clocked up nearly two million You Tube hits in two days.

The expression of bliss on the face of the adorable infant, as it gets a refreshing head rub from its unseen lady owl-keeper is pure magic.

Sunday Funday: Dancing Video of the Day

Because we all know how much fun it is to watch a hot guy dance in a hallway full of mirrors.  Actually, the music isn't bad, I like it.

Gaga The Fashionista! - The Sperm Hat

Oh Gaga.  According to TMZ, Lady Gaga emerged from a London hotel on Wednesday wearing what appeared to be a hot pink sperm hat on her head.  What will she think of next?  With all due respect, she probably doesn't come up with these ridiculous outfits, she just promotes them. :-)

I'll let the Gaga fans correct me.

Poster of the Week - Issue No. 35 - Ineptitude

Continuing alphabetically, I bring you this week's poster, "Ineptitude".

The Good Christian Bieber Turns Psychosocial

Don't you just love when good Christian boys turn out to be little monsters?  Justin Bieber gave the paparazzi the finger (oh, I mean TWO), while leaving a restaurant in London with some hot girl.  Oh, I'm not sure, but is that Selena Gomez?  Perfect time for some "Psychosocial Baby", don't you think?

Snoopy Does The Shuffle!

Just when you think you've heard and seen it all; Out comes Snoopy dancing to LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem".  Yes, you read that right, Snoopy gets down and dirty with his friend, Woodstock.  And he even gets Charlie Brown to join midway through the song.  But it doesn't stop there!   Surprise guests come on board and get down with Snoopy and the gang!

And I thought the Halloween House, the Ohio University Marching Band, and the Hamsters had it all down.  I was wrong!

Little Munchkin Passes Away

Slover seen on right
Who doesn't know of The Wizard of Oz ?  It's impossible not to know about it.  We watched it as children, and as adults.  Hell, Ryan even got me the 70th Anniversary Blu-ray gift box for Christmas last year.

Well, unbeknownst to me, Karl Slover, one of only four surviving little people who played the Munchkins in the movie died this past Tuesday. :-(  He was 93.

The four-foot-five Slover, one of the shortest men in the movie, portrayed not only the lead trumpeter in the Munchkins band, but also a townsman and a soldier. The little guy was born Karl Kosiczky in what is now the Czech Republic, the only dwarf-sized child in the family. According to The Washington Post, his father inflicted inhumane treatments to make him taller, burying him in the backyard, immersing him in heated oil until his skin blistered, and attaching him to a stretching machine at a hospital. Eventually, at the age of nine, his father sold him to a traveling freak show. In his 20s, Slover moved to the States and joined a vaudeville troupe called the Singer Midgets, its 30 members becoming the core group of movie Munchkins. Slover was paid $50 a week, a salary lower than Toto’s.

Later in life, he appeared around the country at festivals and events related to the movie, and was one of seven Munchkins representing all the little people of Oz at the 2007 unveiling of a star dedicated to them on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. “He has a genuine immortality,” said 100 Years of Oz author, John Fricke. “Of the 124 little people, he’s one of the handful who got to enjoy this latter-day fame, to have people know who he was and be able to pick him out of the crowd in the movie.

How To Spot A Cat Person's Home

I think all of us can relate to this comic.  We have either been a cat owner or know someone in the family who's obsessed with them.  I for one, love cats!  We don't own any, because Ryan refuses to have a feline running around the house with our four chihuahuas.  And after they're gone, we are getting a pot belly pig.  DON'T ASK.

In either case, this is...

It's Purely Animal - Issue No. 35 - Bunny Letter Opener

Growing up on a farm, my sister and I had every pet imaginable. You'd think we were building an Ark. LOL. From ducks, pigs, cows, to chickens, dogs, cats, and yes, even bunnies! They were the most lovable pets ever!

With the amount of letters and bills we receive on a daily basis, I'm considering buying one of these.

Well... I'd have to ask Ryan first.  Take a look at this adorable video.

Quoted - Demi Moore & Ashton Kutcher On Their Marriage

“It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton. As a woman, a mother and a wife there are certain values and vows that I hold sacred, and it is in this spirit that I have chosen to move forward with my life. This is a trying time for me and my family, and so I would ask for the same compassion and privacy that you would give to anyone going through a similar situation.” – Demi Moore to the Associated Press

“I will forever cherish the time I spent with Demi. Marriage is one of the most difficult things in the world and unfortunately sometimes they fail. Love and Light, AK” – Ashton Kutcher's response on Twitter

Are People Really This Stupid? Issue No. 12 - The Best Burnout Ever

Why did I create this particular series?  Well....

because I like to show all the stupid things people do that I probably wouldn't do. LOL.  Okay, so I may have gone overboard on some, but for the most part these are stupid people.

Why on God's green earth would I want to burnout my tires to the point where the rubber flies off?  Really? Why? Are people really this stupid?

YES!!! YES!!! and YES!!!

Must Watch: 99% vs. 1% - The Data Behind The Movement

If you've been having a hard time understanding the "Occupy Wall Street" movement, or you simply don't get this 99% they keep talking about, then I suggest you watch this video.  It's absolutely amazing.

The Guardian put together this animated short which explains the distribution of wealth in this country.  Share it with those who need a better understanding of why we ordinary Americans are paying more taxes than the rich.  Doesn't make any sense, does it?

Best Buy Uniform Prank

The next time you run to Best Buy, make sure you're not wearing a blue shirt and khaki pants.  You may find yourself getting kicked out, or better yet, arrested.  LOL.

Well, I guess if it was huge mob of customers walking in with your company's ensemble, you'd probably kick them out too. Check out this hilarious prank by Improv Everywhere.

Isn't This The Truth? Vicious Circle

Life is pretty much a vicious circle, isn't it?  I mean, we get up, go to work, get off work, cook dinner, take a shower, and go to bed.  But this comic tells it like it really is... LMAO.  And then you die.

Nerd Guide To New York City

New York City is one of the most vibrant and interesting cities in the world. As it is, tourists need more than a week to check off all the “must-see” sights, but the list just got longer (especially if you’re a super nerd).

An enormous nerdy collaboration over at BuzzFeed has resulted in this super cool NYC tourist map for movie-, comic-, television- and book-nerds that was headed by BuzzFeed member, Jack Shepherd.

Who cares about visiting the MOMA when you now know where to go to check out the GhostBusters original Headquarters! And why would you waste your time in a lineup to see the view from the top of the Empire State building when you can visit Dock Ocks of Spider Man 2′s Laboratory. It’s about time tourists got their priorities straight…thanks BuzzFeed nerds. We love you.

I Had A Wonderful Birthday!

I had a wonderful weekend with my partner, Ryan and had the greatest birthday anyone could ever ask for.

It's amazing that after all these years together, I still feel the same for him as I did the very first time I laid eyes on him.  Better yet, I love him more today, than yesterday.  We've lived together and been inseparable all these years, and don't regret one moment of it.

I was talking with him the other day, and told him that it really doesn't feel any different turning 40, than turning 30 or 20.  I still feel young, or at least I think I do. LOL.  As for the knowledge I've gained over the years, yes, that has made me a better person.  We only get wiser with age.  I truly believe that by learning from all the mistakes I made during my twenties and thirties, it helped contribute to our relationship being as strong as it is today.

I had a wonderful, wonderful birthday because of you, my dear Ryan, and I Love You!

I got tickets to Cirque Du Soleil's 'Dralion', The Godfather: The Coppola Restoration on Blu-ray, The dvd box set of '24' and a snowglobe of 'The Nightmare Before Christmas'.   Not to mention, the wonderful dinner we had with our friends on Sunday night.  Everything was fabulous!

Hey Granny, How 'Bout You Make Me A Pie?

Absolutely wonderful!  LOL, Julian Smith visits his 95-year old granny, and he wants some pie.  Granny is an absolute hoot, and I love her!! She says it like it is!

Of course, Julian isn't having any of it, he wants Granny to make him a pie that doesn't consist of strawberries, because he's "deathly allergic" to them.
The "making of the video" outtakes are the best part.  Julian has a difficult time teaching Granny to say, "for pwning noobs".  You can check that out after the jump...

What If An Atheist Was Running For President of the United States?

Would you vote for him?  Probably not, according to this latest poll posted at The New Republic.  Question is?  Will religion play a role in the 2012 election?  I'm gonna say, yes.

The chart above shows the comfort level of voters who indicated they were somewhat uncomfortable or very uncomfortable with the prospect of an Atheist, Muslim, Mormon or Evangelical taking the oath of office.

Governor Rick Perry says, "Ooops".

Please help me understand how our state has elected this man for three consecutive terms?  Oh, I know, the corrupt Republican machine, who is now in the process of redistricting, and finding ways to suppress voters.

If you're Latino or a student, good luck.  Republicans are in control of both houses in this state, so they can pretty much pass whatever they want.  Soon Democrats won't be allowed to vote. LOL, j/k.

During last night's presidential debate, Governor Ricky Perry forgot the third government agency he would eliminate as president.  "Commerce, Education, and the.... um...um... what's the third one there? let's see....Commerce, Education, and the um. um...um.."  Really?  And when the moderator asked him if he was serious, he continues mumbling and still can't remember, which in turn leads him to say, "oops".

So now you know why he never wants to debate when he's running for Governor.  He refused to debate Mayor Bill White of Houston during the last election.

I have organized my blogs with 3 days worth of postings, so if you wish to continue reading the days before that, and so forth and so forth, you can click the "Older Posts" button /\ /\ /\ right /\ up there.

There are 3 other ways you can find interesting topics to read as well.
