You used to be a Christian girl!’ And I said, ‘Well, if you were a true Christian, you would have your facts straight. Christianity is about love.’ The debate resulted in a lot of threats and hate mail to people who agreed and disagreed with me. Anna Wintour for Marriage Equality

And you thought that Anna Wintour (editor in chief of Vogue) was cruel, who are you to judge her?  She's fighting for our rights :-)

Another supporter, another fighter, thank you Ms. Wintour!

Mind-Boggling News: Suicidal Wedding

Such a sad story, but you hear about it way too often.  Some can handle it, and some just can't.  According to the Mirror, a young woman in China was about to get married, when her fiancĂ© of four years broke up with her moments before the wedding. What a Bastard!

She walked over to a window in a 7 story building, and as she prepared to jump to her life's end, a community officer managed to grab her and pull her to safety.

It's mind-boggling to me that people can be so cruel.  You don't make decisions on marriage days before the wedding, what's wrong with that idiot?

It's Purely Animal - Issue No. 14 - The Dog That Stormed Bin Laden's Lair

I thought this article was really cool, and wanted to share.  Here is a pic of the dog that stormed Bin Laden's Lair, pretty impressive, huh?  The vest alone can cost upwards of 30,000 dollars, it's bulletproof, and has high-tech gear.
Since the moment it was revealed that the "nation's most courageous dog" (Update: named "Cairo") served alongside the 80 Navy SEALs who took out Osama bin Laden, America's fascination with war dogs has hit a fevered pitch. And while the heart-tugging photos of these four-legged heroes are worth a look, so is the high-tech gear that helps them do their job.

Gaga Takes The Top Spot!

Lady Gaga has taken the top spot from Oprah Winfrey on Forbes annual Celebrity Top 100 list, which focuses on the world's most powerful celebrities.  But don't be upset Gaga haters, you still have Justin Bieber at number 3 and Bon Jovi at number 8.  Yeah, I'm confused on that one too, but he's actually, made more than Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Kanye West combined.  How's that for "Living on A Prayer"?

In either case, the Lady managed to come out on top, because of her influence on current events, young people, earning $90 million last year, having 32 million fans on Facebook and 10 million followers on Twitter.   C'mon people - she sold one million digital downloads of her single, "Born This Way" in 5 days!

Check out the list below:

Top 10 of Forbes’ ‘Celebrity 100′

  • 1. Lady Gaga
  • 2. Oprah Winfrey
  • 3. Justin Bieber
  • 4. U2
  • 5. Elton John
  • 6. Tiger Woods
  • 7. Taylor Swift
  • 8. Bon Jovi
  • 9. Simon Cowell

OMG Hilarious! - Heightened Senses and Feelings

You Have 2-1/2 More Days - Judgement Day Is This Saturday!

Harold Camping disciple Julie Baker preaches doom in New York.
Back in March I wrote a post about our last days on earth; Well, the time is here.  You have almost 3 days to accept the Lord, Jesus Christ as your savior, or you will rot in hell for the rest of your life.  If you're a Jew, you can also be saved!

According to Family Radio president, Harold Camping, a worldwide earthquake will strike at 6 PM (local time) Saturday, May 21, alerting the human race that Judgement Day has begun.
"There's nothing in the Bible that holds a candle to the amount of information to this tremendous truth of the end of the world," he says. "I would be absolutely in rebellion against God if I thought anything other than it is absolutely going to happen without any question."
Taken from A Conversation With Harold Camping, Prophesier of Judgement Day in the New York Magazine.  Not everyone is as informed about Judgment Day as Camping, of course. With that in mind, here are a few answers to frequently asked questions about the End of Days:
Q: Who gets to ascend to heaven?
A: Those who accept Christ as the messiah. Even Jews are invited, says Camping, but only if they accept Christ - which would seem to make them no longer Jewish.
Q: How many will be Raptured?
A: Campbell estimates 200 million. The remaining nearly 7 billion face a grisly fate - crushed in the quake, burned by sulfur, turned into pillars of salt, etc.
Q: Why May 21?
A: Camping calculates May 21 is exactly 7,000 years from the date of the Noah's Ark flood. In his book "Time Has an End," Camping writes. "The year 391 B.C. is the year when the Old Testament was finished, and 2,011 + 391 - 1 = 2,401, or 7 x 7 x 7 x 7." There you have it.
Q: Any other reason?
A: Yes. Gay Pride and same-sex marriage. Camping says God will punish America and the rest of the world for Gay Pride and same-sex marriages, just as Sodom and Gomorrah were punished with fire and brimstone in the Old Testament.
Q: Will the Earth end on May 21?
A: No. The Earth will stick around for a few more months of "chaos and awful suffering" before being obliterated Oct. 21.
Q: Didn't Camping predict the end of the world would take place in September 1994?
A: Yes, but the book in which he made the prediction was titled "1994?". The question mark makes all the difference.
Q: Will the Rapture happen sooner in Australia, like New Year's celebrations?
A: Yes. May 21st begins first on Kiritimati Island, a Pacific Ocean atoll, so presumably the earthquake would strike there first.
Q: If I'm Raptured, what will happen to my pets?
A: Probably nothing good. However, a business called Eternal Earthbound Pets run by "confirmed atheists" offers to save pets left behind and ensure their care in 26 states. It lists a fee of $135 for a single pet ($20 each for additional pets), but has raised rates due to "increased activity associated with the May 21, 2011 Rapture." Pets are limited to dogs, cats, birds rabbits and small caged mammals in most states. Four states can accommodate horses, camels, llamas and donkeys.

Post-Grad Hipster's Guide to Inhabitable U.S. Cities

Cartographer Katie Gillett’s Post-Grad Hipster’s Guide to Inhabitable U.S. Cities:

I thought all you students would get a kick out of this...  I especially love ours, 'Austin, "Blue dot in Red Sea, but at least there's a good music scene" Texas.'

Katie Gillett (pronounced like the razor) is a multimedia storyteller with roots in Orlando and pieces of her heart across the globe. In 2010 she quit her theme park photographer job to go on a cross-country road trip from Florida to California—via Canada—with: 6 of her best friends, an unregistered yellow Mustang, a Toyota Corolla named Tinkerbell, 2 walkie talkies, and the motto “No pants, no plans, no priorities”. The X-Muppets

OMG, I absolutely love this pic from artist, Rahzzah at Deviant Art.  The X-Muppets!

It was 2 weeks before my high school graduation, when I learned of  Jim Henson's untimely death - it was a sad time indeed.  Thank you Jim, because we'll always love our Muppets.

What a Hot Mess: The Ultimate Betrayal

Things just keep getting worse for Maria Shriver, doesn't it?  First, she goes through the heartache and pain of losing her mother, Eunice Kennedy Shriver, the sister of President Kennedy, a little over a year ago.  A year later, in January of this year, she sadly goes through her father, Sargent Shriver's death.  And, in the same month, learns of her husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger's infidelity.  But it doesn't end there...

Last week, the famous couple separated, because he screwed the housekeeper who's worked for them 25 years!  Come to find out, there's a lovechild!

Seriously?  What made him cheat on his beautiful wife, with this person, Mildred Patricia Baena, who ABC revealed on television this morning?

I've been cheated on before, but this is beyond pathetic.  I feel so sorry for Maria, because this just keeps getting worse for her.  Can you imagine finding out you lived in a home for the past 10 years with a person who's had a child with your wife or husband? And you didn't know a thing about it?  I cannot think of a more horrible deception.  What's even more sickening, is the fact that Maria was pregnant with one of their boys while this woman lived in their home.  The least he could have done was paid her to go away, instead he chose to have this woman interact with his wife and kids over the holidays, birthdays, and other special events.  This, I feel, is far worse than the affair itself.

You know, I followed the election of Governor Schwarzenegger, because he was a famous actor who was married to a famous Kennedy.  But I remember vividly, the allegations that were pouring in from several women stating he had groped them, allegations that he so vehemently denied.  This is just one huge, Hot Mess!

I'm sorry, I do feel bad for the 14 year old boy who is learning all of this at the same time we are, and it's getting uglier everyday.  Lord watch over him, because it isn't his fault, and I have no idea what it feels like to have your parents being criticized online.  I hope he finds solace in knowing that his Dad, while wrong, took care of him, and didn't leave his side.

OMG Hilarious! - City Council Fail

Make sure the next time you visit your city council meeting you bring a gas mask, literally.  LOL, this video was hilarious.

The G.O.P.'s March to the White House in 2012

As most of you know, President Obama has no Democratic challenger in 2012, but on the Republican side, they have a whole slew of folks they are undecided about.  While some in the chart have already dropped out, the race continues.

A Huge Water Bomb!

We've all seen water balloons burst - we've either played with them as children, or as adults. But have you seen one burst in slow-motion?

As with my previous two posts, The following video uses high-definition cameras to capture the destruction of a water balloon.  This time, the artists are The Slow Mo Guys - this is my first time hearing about them.  Regardless to say, they don't burst a regular water balloon, they burst one a thousand times the size - 6 foot, to be exact.

I actually enjoyed watching this, it was quite entertaining.

Movies to Watch: The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn

I'm actually kind of excited about this movie.  I grew up reading lots of books as a child and a teenager, and Tintin was one of my favorites - actually Tintin and The Hardy Boys were my favorite.  When I became an adult, Mary Higgins Clark's books on mystery, suspense, and psychological thrillers became my favorite past-time hobby.  But there again, there was nothing like the feeling I got when I read about Tintin and his dog, Snowy's adventures.

The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn will be released this Christmas, and it's going to be spectacular!  Especially in 3D, so I can't wait for all the great special effects.  Produced and Directed by Peter Jackson and Steven Spielberg, the movie boasts some pretty awesome actors.  Daniel Craig (James Bond) as Red Rackham, Cary Ewles (Saw) as the Pilot, Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) as Tintin, Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings) as Captain Haddock, and countless of other characters I'm anxious to see.  This will be the first of a supposed trilogy based on the books written from the 1940's through 1970's.  I wish they would cover them all! LOL

Older folks will probably remember Tintin as a comic strip, but I don't.  In fact, I just read up on Wikipedia that it was a comic strip created by a Belgian artist back in 1907, and later translated into English.  It's amazing what you can learn online.  Anywho, check out the trailer below...

America's Most Feared Spider

The Recluse Spider.

OMG, forget Lions, Tigers and Bears - this little bitch will kill you.  I'm not lying, it will.  This little brown spider has been know to paralyze and cause the skin to die.  I have a couple of friends who have been bitten by one of these, and they went through horrendous weeks of pain and torture.  They eventually recovered with treatment and surgery, but the adverse events are what sound problematic.  Along with their physical pain, they developed arachnophobia.
According to recent research, the  recluse spider may be making a migration to the United States in large numbers, because climate change is threatening their existence.  But little do people know these spiders already occupy most of the country.
"They tend to live under bark or logs in dry areas or underneath hanging rocks. But humans also create a good habitat for them in cellars, attics and garages," according to Rick Vetter, a research associate at the University of California, Riverside. Their venom contains a toxin that causes skin to die, resulting in what are known as necrotic lesions. In about 90 percent of cases, the bite of a brown recluse has virtually no effect. The other 10 percent cause severe symptoms with potentially life-threatening complications. There are no solid statistics available, but Vetter estimates that one or two bite-induced deaths occur each year, typically in small children.

Ever Have A Kidney Stone?

If only having a kidney stone were as fun as the picture below depicts it to be. Granted the picture provided by www.hiddendingbat.co.uk is to help kids understand the concept behind having a kidney stone or stones.  I've never had one, and hope I never will.

I've had friends and family describe it as the most painful thing you can experience as a man.  Women have even said, the pain is far worse than having baby - they would know.

Denunciation Quoted

"He could denounce the Democratic party, run on a Republican ticket come 2012, put Sarah Palin as his VP nominee, promise to uphold an anti-gay, anti-abortion, anti-environmental, anti-immigration, pro-gun, pro-limited government, pro-church and state, pro-ultra conservative stance on all issues and obtain plastic surgery skin grafts to make himself more....white....and they still won't adore him."

It's Purely Animal - Issue No. 13 - The Ultimate Dog Tease

My friend Debbie at work showed me this video on her cell phone the other day, and I couldn't keep from laughing - it was too darn cute.  Whether or not you're a pet owner, you'll definitely get a kick out of this.

Abercrombie & Fitch Opens French Store With Over 100 Hot Men

What is Abercrombie & Fitch well  known for?

Ummmm..... I don't know - selling great clothes?

Um No!

Selling sex?

Absolutely!  I mean you can visit their website, and quickly figure it out.

And they know how well it works too.  Why else would they be opening their first Abercrombie & Fitch store in Paris with 101 shirtless models?  They've made a fortune exploiting hot boys and their muscular bodies all over America; this time it's no different.

Promoting their grand opening, the company paraded their soft-core porn to the people of France, and I'm loving every second of it!

Do Not Allow Judge to Take Her Children Away Just Because She Has Cancer!

I just signed the petition a few seconds ago; I have a couple aunts and uncles who have succumbed to cancer - it's a terrible, terrible disease.  Signing this has made my Sunday even brighter.

A friend of mine sent me an email on Thursday on a mother who is on the verge of losing her 5-year-old son and 11-year-old daughter.  It truly brought me to tears when I read the reason behind it.  As most of you know by now, I work for The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center, and ironically enough, this post is based in part, in the field I work in - Breast Cancer.

Alaina Giordano was diagnosed with breast cancer 3-1/2 years ago when her children were only 2 and 8-years-old.  As she puts it, she goes for treatment once a month and her disease is currently stable.
"my kids know that I have cancer, they know that I go for treatment once a month now, they know that it's stable. They know me as mom, and it doesn't affect our daily life."
Well, a judge in North Carolina has used the cancer, and Alaina's treatments, as the main reason to transfer custody of her two kids to her ex-husband.  And all this, after she specifically told the judge this man was abusive, and furthermore, lived 700 miles away.

The media has just started to cover this; she was recently interviewed on Good Morning America and the Today Show.

She only has two weeks to appeal, so maybe with all the noise everyone is making, and the public standing behind her, Alaina will be able to reverse this decision.

Do your part - sign the petition - it could be one of the best decisions you've ever made.

And We Don't Imprison Fairly?

I found this interesting chart online in reference to people who have been imprisoned for drugs.  I find it ironic that the issue of race and prison seem to come up, quite a bit, around election season.  But are politicians reading the numbers correctly?

True Blood Releases it's First Full-length Trailer, and You're Gonna Bloody Love It!

What can I say, it's been almost 2 months since I last spoke of it, but the summer is nigh, and we are hungry for blood - True Blood that is.

Premiering June 26, HBO promises to deliver it's best season yet, and from the looks of it - it's going to be one hell of a fun ride.

In March, they began teasing us with "a lost in the dark," Eric Northman, seduced us with a half-naked, Jason Stackhouse and ended it with an overbearing Bill Compton.

And now, the full-length trailer we've all been eager to see...

OMG Hilarious! - Adele vs. Angry Birds

As most of you know by now, my admiration for Adele has grown over the last several weeks.  I took a second look at her after my friends, Renee and Michael convinced me she was a force to be reckoned with.  And this she is, my readers.

Released in March of this year, Adele's current number one hit, "Rolling in the Deep," has sold over 2 million digital copies in the US alone - and it's only 2 weeks into the month of May.  And she continues breaking records around the world.

Well, I thought I would bring a little humor to my Saturday Morning readers, and post The Key of Awesome's outrageously hilarious parody to her music video, Rolling in the Deep.  If you haven't seen the original music video, watch it here first, then come back, and watch this one.

If you may recall, The Key of Awesome also did a parody to Lady Gaga's, "Born this Way," last month and it was downright funny. Also, if you're a fan of the popular smartphone game, "Angry Birds," you'll get a kick out of this too. There's a few references to the movie, Black Swan as well! Omg Hilarious!

It's Purely Animal - Tigers On The Verge of Extinction

It's really sad, but tigers are not the only animals on the verge of extinction within the next decade.

Before you know, we humans will have killed off most of the Animal Kingdom before the end of the century due to our selfishness.

Gaga The Fashionista!

As many of you already know, Lady Gaga is in London right now.  Earlier this week she mentored the top 4 American Idol finalists, and she's rumored to perform at the show's finale in two weeks.

Yesterday morning she stepped out of her hotel in another one of her fabulous ensembles.  What a fashionista!  She's definitely living on the Edge of Glory.

Will There Ever Be A Wonder Woman?

Why is it this female superhero can never fly off the runway in her invisible jet?  If people would stop comparing her to Lynda Carter's 1970's Wonder Woman, we may finally get somewhere.

I'll be the first one to admit, I wasn't too happy with a lot of the stories I was reading online.  From the terrible script to the god-awful costume - Adrianne Palicki and David E. Kelley couldn't convince NBC the pilot was worthy of a television series.  If this were to happen to TNT's Dallas, I would be devastated!  But since it isn't, I'm okay with this not coming into fruition.

Granted, there is still hope for some fans that it will be picked up by a cable network - but it's wishful thinking at best.  Hell, it's been 30 years since Lynda Carter donned the suit.  Maybe it's a sign telling writers and producers that Wonder Woman should be left alone.  Don't bother making a movie or a show, just let things be.

Powdered Supplements & Cardio Myths

And you thought cardio would give you the body you wanted.  Hell to the N-to-the-O!  You are wrong, that was just a myth, and if you don't believe me, hear it from the one, and only, Mike Chang.  Who, by the way, is an extremely savvy guy.

9 years ago, Chang was extremely overweight.  He made a lifestyle change that helped him, and hundreds of people around the world.  He has an awesome website, and the following video below is just a "piece of the cake" when it comes to being an awesome motivator, and mentor.  If you have never heard of him, or always had questions about your health and fitness, this guy can give it to you.

From his YouTube page:
Six years ago, I was overweight and out of shape. Finally, one day I made the decision that I was going to learn how to get a ripped body and abs - - no matter what.
When I first started, I made every mistake in the book. But with the help of a few fitness mentors, I finally learned the exercise and nutrition strategies that get you into great shape.
Once I learned this stuff, I got into shape surprisingly fast. It made a huge difference in my life - - it became much easier for me to attract women, and I got much more respect from my male friends. And I just felt way better about myself every time I looked in the mirror.

If anything, at least let him share with you his experience with cardio, supplements, and powdered drinks - these don't do you any good.

You'll be surprised - he's a really smart guy.

Cover Wars - Issue No. 2

UPDATE: Sam Tsui wins cover war! - See Comments

Last week, I started my new series, "Cover Wars," and I had so much fun putting it together, I even designed the headline pic up above.

The premise behind "Cover Wars" is to get your opinion on who you think is the "best of the best" when a YouTube artist performs a cover to a popular hit, like Adele's current song, "Rolling in the Deep" or Madonna's, "Like A Prayer".

This week's battle song is Lady Gaga's, "Born This Way". Currently one of her number 1 tracks, Gaga's Born This Way album hits stores on May 23rd.

For the second round of my new series I have chosen 6 people or duos to battle it out, Sam Tsui, Tyler Ward feat. Alex G.
, Wesley Avery, Peter Hollens, Marius Gröh from Germany, and Ben feat. Josh.

Who do you think will win this war?

Sam Tsui                       Tyler Ward featuring Alex G.

Wesley Avery                               Peter Hollens

   Marius Gröh                               Ben featuring Josh

OMG Hilarious! - HORSE

ROFL (Rolling On The Floor Laughing) - for those who didn't know what the acronym stood for.

Growing up, I remember playing this game with my cousins, but I would lose the majority of the time.  Unless I was playing with my sister - in which case I would always win. *smiles*

The object of the game was to shoot the basket from a certain location, or making the shot in some weird scenario.  Your opponent would then have to copy the shot the exact same way, otherwise he would receive the first letter to the word "HORSE" - an 'H'.   Whoever spelt the word, "horse," after several rounds would lose the game.

Some don't know how to take a loss too well, so in turn, they take extreme measures to keep from losing.  As you will see in the video below.

Just don't take the wrong kind of precedent.

My Blog Is Back!

For those who are not aware, my blog gets about 650 views a day, which is not bad, considering I've been online for only 4-1/2 months. And even though I'm not a great writer, I do enjoy writing. I do it to share my thoughts and opinions; the mere joy, and happiness it gives me is refreshing.

But....

I about lost it yesterday evening when I logged on, every post I'd written over the past two days were missing.  I normally write posts a day or two in advance so that when the next day arrives they automatically post at specific times throughout the day.  So those I wrote for Friday, the 13th are also missing.  Blogger states they will restore them slowly, but who knows. Here is there reasoning behind it...
What a frustrating day. We’re very sorry that you’ve been unable to publish to Blogger for the past 20.5 hours. We’re nearly back to normal — you can publish again, and in the coming hours posts and comments that were temporarily removed should be restored.  Thank you for your patience while we fix this situation.  We use Blogger for our own blogs, so we’ve also felt your pain.

Here’s what happened: during scheduled maintenance work Wednesday night, we experienced some data corruption that impacted Blogger’s behavior. Since then, bloggers and readers may have experienced a variety of anomalies including intermittent outages, disappearing posts, and arriving at unintended blogs or error pages. A small subset of Blogger users (we estimate 0.16%) may have encountered additional problems specific to their accounts. Yesterday we returned Blogger to a pre-maintenance state and placed the service in read-only mode while we worked on restoring all content: that’s why you haven’t been able to publish.  We rolled back to a version of Blogger as of Wednesday May 11th, so your posts since then were temporarily removed. Those are the posts that we’re in the progress of restoring.

Again, we are very sorry for the impact to our authors and readers.  We try hard to ensure Blogger is always available for you to share your thoughts and opinions with the world, and we’ll do our best to prevent this from happening again.

I've heard other members say that BLOGGER is still the best service out there, and that communication yesterday was mediocre at best. But I'm hoping better communication will be made in the next several months and years, because it takes a lot of time and effort to write these posts; for some folks - it's their job.  I don't advertise on my blogs, so it doesn't affect me as much, but it does sadden me when I can't see my work.

Thank you for your patience during this downtime.  I will begin blogging new posts within the hour.

Have a great weekend!
