Last night Michele Bachmann, New Jersey Governor, Chris Christie, Sarah Palin, Congressman Weiner, and John Edwards took a beating from Bill Maher on his HBO show Real Time with Bill Maher, but according to online sources, none of it was really worth watching, except for the 30-second spot he gave Nancy Grace, and we all know who she is.
She's the loudmouth on Headline News, that used to be on CNN, covering all sorts of victim's rights cases. If you're not familiar with who she is, watch this video first, it will give you an idea of how crazy she is. She's actually quite loud, but in this video, Elizabeth Smart puts her in her place.
Back to last night's show.. .
In the following video, Bill Maher explains to us who Nancy really is, and what she really wants. LOL.

Movies to Watch: The Muppets (First Full-length Trailer)
Woo-hoo!!! Finally! a real Muppets Trailer has come out, and I'm super-uber excited! As you may recall, a month ago, Disney released a fake trailer during the Pirates of the Carribean movie, titled "Green with Envy." Well, it isn't fake this time...
From my previous post:
From my previous post:
On vacation in Los Angeles, Walter, the world's biggest Muppet fan, and his friends Gary (Jason Segel) and Mary (Amy Adams) from Smalltown, US, discover the nefarious plan of oilman Tex Richman (Chris Cooper) to raze the Muppet Theater and drill for the oil recently discovered beneath the Muppets' former stomping grounds. To stage The Greatest Muppet Telethon Ever and raise the $10-million needed to save the theater, Walter, Mary and Gary help Kermit the Frog reunite the Muppets, who have all gone their separate ways: Fozzie now performs with a Reno casino tribute band called the Moopets, Miss Piggy is a plus-size fashion editor at Vogue Paris, Animal is in a Santa Barbara clinic for anger management, and Gonzo is a high-powered plumbing magnate. With secret, signature, celebrity cameos, "The Muppets" hits the big screen November 23, 2011.

Countdown with Keith Olbermann RETURNS!
YES!! The time is almost here. The moment every liberal has been waiting for... The Return of Countdown, starring Keith Olbermann!!
Ryan and I have been waiting for this day for quite some time, especially since we're right around the corner from the 2012 Presidential Election, where the fate of our nation will remain in the hands of our current President, Barack Obama, or a Republican candidate that I can almost guarantee, will send our nation back 50-60 years.
Countdown premieres tonight on CURRENT TV at 7:00 PM Central Time. His first guests will include Michael Moore and Daily Kos chief Markos Moulitsas, so make sure to check it out.

Land of the Lost: The Pod Village
As you take a look at this picture right here, you're probably asking yourself, "what the hell is this?"
It's an abandoned 5-Star hotel bedroom, from a resort that never was. In the last 33 years, many rumors have circulated around the globe, but one thing is certain - it would have been an amazing place. Imagine waking up to the beautiful morning sunshine, looking out your hotel window, and watching the waves hitting the sandy beaches down below. You can still see the bed frame where the comfy mattress would have been.
The UFO-shaped pods in Taipei's Sanzhi District were commissioned by the government as a hotel/apartment complex, but it was never completed due to investment problems, several fatal accidents during construction, and rumors of ghosts. Craig Ferguson visited this place, and took some amazing photography.
Ferguson wrote the following:

The UFO-shaped pods in Taipei's Sanzhi District were commissioned by the government as a hotel/apartment complex, but it was never completed due to investment problems, several fatal accidents during construction, and rumors of ghosts. Craig Ferguson visited this place, and took some amazing photography.
Ferguson wrote the following:
Accounts vary on the origins of this complex, and indeed, as to whether it was meant to be a hotel development or a housing development. Apparently, it was constructed in the 1960s and included/was to include a dam to protect it against sea surges, floors and stairs made of marble and a small amusement park. The site was commissioned by the government and local firms and there is no named architect. Local papers at the time reported that there were numerous accidents during construction which caused the death of some workers. As news of these accidents spread, no one wanted to go there, even to visit, and the project was subsequently abandoned. The ghosts of those who died in vain are said to still linger there, unremembered and unable to pass on. The complex was left in its unfinished state because no amount of redevelopment will bring people to the area due to superstitions about ghosts, and it can’t be demolished because destroying the homes of spirits and lost souls is taboo in Asian culture. These really cool retro looking buildings have withstood the test of time, but not for long, they are slowly but surely decaying and eventually these photos will be all that's left of what once was, someone's dream of paradise.
More amazing photos and a video after the jump...

Facebook In Real Life
We've become so ingrained in social media, that we tend to forget how we communicate in real life. Well, this man decides to take Facebook to the people - to the people.
He walks around asking people if they wouldn't mind being his friend, even going so far as to suggesting they take a look at his photo album to help them decide. In what is an absolutely funny take of the social behavior he has learned from Facebook and Twitter, the video below is the perfect example of who, and what we've become.
I especially love when he goes around posting "like" on different items by using post-it notes.

Where Is All The Water?
Seriously folks, where is all the water? If you're from Texas, or any other state in the union for that matter, you probably haven't seen any rain in 6 months. While the following chart has nothing to do with the weather or droughts in our area, it is an informative tool on the scarcity of fresh and salt water. It's astonishing.
You would be surprised to learn that 97.5% of the earth's water is made up of salt, and the other 2.5% is Freshwater. Furthermore, most freshwater is unattainable, meaning... we have no way of getting it, because 70% of the 2.5% of freshwater is frozen in polar icecaps. The news gets even more grim, another 30% of the 2.5% of freshwater available is underground, which is too expensive to tap into, and filter. So we're left with only a mere 1% of the world's freshwater that is available for human consumption.

Gay Ski Camp - Episode 2
If you missed last week's episode, don't worry, you can catch it all right here. Last week I introduced you to five gorgeous gay guys, Brodie, Adam, Dan, Mike and Kirk. They are being featured in an online reality series called, Gay Ski Camp. Each week they are competing in challenges where they'll find themselves eliminated one by one (sad face). In this week's episode we find out who'll be the first unlucky guy to be sent home.
Gay Ski Week in New Zealand is usually around mid-July in Queenstown, so if you're not up for the hot summer months in the U.S., you can always take a flight down under, and catch all the boys having a gay 'ol time. Only downside is, you'd miss all the gay pride events and swimming pool parties.
The Australian website Same Same and Air New Zealand are giving you the chance to win a trip to Gay Ski Week NZ this year. All you need to do is Watch Ski Camp and tell them who your favourite boy is. Enter to win a trip to NZ here!
Stay tuned for the 3rd episode next week.

The Anonymous Hypocrite
Yesterday morning I had the pleasure of waking up to an "anonymous comment" on my blog. I don't mind anonymous writers, I really don't. But when it's something like what he/she wrote, then that's a whole different story. It not only shows they're a coward for not revealing who they were, but they lack the courage to talk to me in a civilized manner. The commenter actually wrote on one of my partner's editorials he posted back in April - "The Promotion of Hatred Exists".
Here's what the anonymous writer wrote:
I was none too pleased and decided to leave them a comment of my own, and this what I had to say...When gays use the "when did you know you were straight" argument, it's silly..straight is the de-facto normal..if people weren't straight...there would be no people...
Also the "Some People are Gay Get over it" , well Some people don't like gays get over it..people dont have to like a behavior they find repulsive..gays like to compare their "struggle" to race, but a person skin color is not a behavior or a sexual act.
You say that being straight is normal, because without you there would be no people is almost laughable, if not the most foolish thing to think. As you know, billions of people around the world "believe in a GOD," and these same people know that there was no one who had sex to make Adam and Eve, God made them separately, they were "Born that way." Furthermore, when God banished Cain to another land, there were already other people there, you think they procreated too? Being straight is "not normal" You were born that way.
I hate to inform you of this, but yes, one can choose to be "straight." It doesn't mean they will be, but they can surely try. Being Heterosexual or Homosexual is something you cannot choose to be. I didn't wake up one morning when I was 2 or 3, and say... "oh I think I'll be gay today."
"IF" I had a choice, do you really think I'd want to choose the one where it would condemn me the most? Do you think I'd want to choose the one where people would make fun of me, spit on me, and call me names? No, I wouldn't choose that for myself.
Gay is not a behavior, it is who we are. The act of having sex is a behavior, and we don't have to like your sexual acts, just as much as you don't have to like ours.
You can "choose" to hate or love. I chose to love everyone, because this is how God created us. I have known I was gay since a child - I had two parents who loved me unconditionally. My father taught me how to take an engine out of a car, farm thousands of acres of land, and took me fishing. And a mother who made sure that when I left their home, I knew how to take care of myself by teaching me how to cook, wash my clothes, and fix my bed. They were a good Christian couple who took us to church every Wednesday and Sunday, and I'm sure they wish I had turned out differently, But I didn't. They didn't do anything wrong, I've always known, they've always known. You think my parents would want their child to be made fun of? Hell no. If they or I could choose we would.
I am what God made me to be.

Movies to Watch - Maybe: Super Hybrid
Just when you thought you'd seen it all, comes this gem of a killer car movie that will have you on the edge of your seat crying for more - Super Hybrid.
In the tradition that is Christine? Really?
Other than the fact, the movie boasts some really hot guys, the movie gets a big "F". And I haven't even seen it yet. Don't worry, it will not be coming to your local theater; Instead it will be coming to your local Wal-mart in the form of a DVD and Blu-ray.

Late one night, a mysterious car is brought into the Chicago police impound garage after a deadly traffic accident. The on-call mechanics soon discover the car has a mind of its own. With hundreds of horsepower and two tons of reinforced steel at its command, it's a seemingly unstoppable killing machine capable of outrunning — and outwitting — humans.

It's Purely Animal - Issue No. 18 - Hornero Bird Building
I have always found the animal kingdom truly fascinating, and the Hornero bird is no different. When I see something like this, it denounces the statements from idiots who say animals have no brains. If they didn't have a brain, they wouldn't be able to do the un-thinkable.
Known for their mud nests, the Hornero bird comes from the Spanish word horno, meaning "oven". Click the pic to see the bird complete it's home.

I'm Just A Zombie Standing in Front of a Zombie Asking it to Love Me! - Meredith Woerner
In what is so reminiscent of The Walking Dead from TNT, this live-action CGI short film is from the Media Design School's Graduate Diploma of Advanced 3D Productions in New Zealand. The short, titled "Rotting Hill," was produced in 12 weeks and features 22 digital effects shots. I must warn you, if you have an easy stomach don't watch it. The effects are so darn good, it's almost real. I was watching this covering my mouth at times.Something tells me my boyfriend, Ryan will love it.

What The GAGA Was That?
The Lady's new video made it's debut on So You Think You Can Dance last night, and I wasn't too impressed. But at the same time, I'm also glad she did this boring ass video, so that everyone can shut the hell up. All too often we've heard of artists sounding too much like another artist from the past, that it gets really old. So I wouldn't doubt it if Gaga did this on purpose - creating a video that probably didn't cost her much to make. Why go all out, making videos that cost her a horrendous amount of money, just to be compared to someone else?
Regardless of her reasons, I love the song, I love the reason why she wrote it, and I love her - for standing up for what she believes in.
My Ryan adores you Gaga, and so do I. We will stand behind you on the Edge of Glory!
P.S.
Dear Nigel Lythgoe, WTF was that on SYTYCD last night? You premiere the video, then cut it off midway through the song. Dumbass!

"Every Conservative is Racist to A Liberal".... Jeezus, Can Someone Please Help Lucas!
I worry about people sometimes; Really, I do. Sometimes I worry about them so much, I think they lack the intellect to hold a smart conversation. Keep in mind, this is only certain people. As most of my readers know, I have loved politics for as long as I can remember. Hell, I even held a mock election when I was in college, and everyone in the dormitory had fun participating in it. Well, almost everyone. haha, It was fun nonetheless.
On the way home from work on Tuesday, I had the pleasure of listening to Randi Rhodes. If you've never heard of her, you should. She is one of the smartest women I know. She tells it like it is, and doesn't hold back. I've learned a lot from her, and you could too. In either case, she had a caller on Tuesday who, I swear, was the dumbest person I had ever heard. Not only was he a bigot, but he had this fascination that Bush was the greatest President this country had ever had. Really. No, Really. After 7 minutes and 42 seconds of going back and forth on why we can't trust Muslims (when almost everyone I know has a Muslim friend. It's a religion people! Every religion has people you can't trust! Geez!), he begins to tell Randi this...
It's better to hear the call from the beginning, where the caller believes Muslims can't be trusted, but you can skip to 7:42 minutes if you like.
I posted the conversation from the 7:42 mark after the jump if you wish to follow along.

War of the Roses - Paige & Scott
War of the Roses (Roula & Ryan's Roses) is back for another week, and this week's call is a little different than the last. If you're not familiar with how the "War of the Roses" is played out, then I suggest you read up on last week's post. I wrote a detailed description on how it actually works.
And the War begins...
In this morning's call, Roula took the role of Manda from Plants & Flowers, Incorporated. She spoke with long-time listener, Paige who was worried her boyfriend of 4 years was cheating on her. Sweethearts since college, she and her boyfriend, Scott have never gone a day without sharing things with each other - they would always talk about their jobs, and so forth. But for the last several weeks he has been coming home late, way over his regular 9-5 job. Roula and Ryan informed her that they needed more information in order to call him, but she really didn't have anything else to say other than her boyfriend being dismissive, and that she hasn't been able to get any answers from him.
Roula and Ryan warned her that if Scott ended up sending the roses to her, instead of someone else, Ryan would still come on the radio, and tell him what's going on. She agreed, and this is how the war raged on...Part 1
Part 2
Make sure to stay tuned for next Thursday, as this is a regular series on my blog, and feel free to share it with your friends on Facebook or email. There's a little Facebook button right underneath this post, under "This Post Written By".

IT'S A 3-WAY STREET
Videographer, Ron Gabriel couldn't have stated it any better. Towards the end of the video below, he also states that, "There are 12,370 intersections in NYC, 74% of crashes happen in intersections, and 4 people are killed or seriously injured every day.""By summer 2010, the expansion of bike lanes in NYC exposed a clash of long-standing bad habits — such as pedestrians jaywalking, cyclists running red lights, and motorists plowing through crosswalks. By focusing on one intersection as a case study, my video aims to show our interconnection and shared role in improving the safety and usability of our streets. The video is part of a larger campaign I created called '3-Way Street'."
After you watch the video, you'll see how crazy it is.

Cover Wars - Issue No. 4
Cover Wars 4 is here, and figuring out who of these 3 will take home the Gold Record is up to you. I really had a difficult time finding a good cover to P!nk's "F**kin Perfect." It is, by far, one of my most favorite songs of the past year, and for me, it is up there with "Born This Way," "Jar of Hearts," and "Rolling in The Deep."
One of the main reasons I love this song so much, is because it deals with suicide, and the yearning for acceptance in this world. I grew up with thoughts of suicide as a gay adolescent, and up to my early twenties; Let me tell you something, it's not a good feeling to have.
While, many on the right have changed the song to reflect their "Christian" values, or make it about their "relationships," it isn't about that. Don't get me wrong, there were some excellent covers out there, but I had so much trouble finding a good cover, because of that reason. It isn't about "less, less than perfect!" It's "pretty pretty please, don't you ever feel, like your less than f**kin perfect!"
It was the same way with "Born This Way." Removing the lyrics, or changing them to reflect your own life makes it really difficult when the song is trying to send a different message. I'm not being hypocritical here. I mean, there are songs out there where the gender role was changed from "he" to "she," or "her" to "him." I think that's okay, so long as the main message or point is getting across.
Pink quoted,
Here are your top 3 battling it out for the top spot. I cant decide on who I want to win, so I'm asking for your help. please make sure to leave a comment with your vote.
First one on the list is Peter from the Czech Republic, followed by Eypee from Berlin, Germany; with the final competitor being Marina Braga from Brazil.

I personally don't know a single person who doesn't know at least two of these victims personally." - P!nk.She also goes on to explain,
"that, while the video may be considered shocking, it is intended to open people's eyes to these problems. In addition, P!nk believes the video is a message to everyone who needs help. Pink described the process of making the video as a “very emotional experience” and related the core theme of “Fuckin' Perfect” to her yet-to-be-born baby, saying, “I have a life inside of me, and I want her or him to know that I will accept him or her with open and loving and welcoming arms. And though I will prepare this little munchkin for a sometimes cruel world, I will also equip this kid to see all the beauty in it as well.” She also noted that she expects the video to “Ruffle some feathers,” meaning it would cause controversy."Get this through your f**kin heads people. You need to learn to accept your child for who, and what he is. If he acts a little girly, and likes to play with dolls, let him. If he walks or talks a little funny, who gives a shit. If he grows up loving sports, but you find out he only likes boys - big f**kn deal, He's f**kin perfect! He or she is your child through and through. No blood about it!

Team Cee Lo vs. Team Adam on The Voice
While I commend the producers of "The Voice" on the great progress the show has made, I'd have to say I was rather disappointed with both teams this week.
If this had been the semi-finals, Team Christina and Team Blake would have "owned" Team Cee Lo and Team Adam. I am shocked at the way these guys performed last night. They should have been the top two teams.
The two-hour episode started out with Carson Daly revealing the first 2 contestants who made it through to the semi-finals next week. Ryan and I laughed, because afterwards, Carson stated that it only took 5 minutes to reveal the results, when in reality, it was more like 13 minutes. Christina Aguilera just couldn't keep her damn mouth shut. As I predicted last week, Frenchie Davis and Beverly McClellan made it through, and you can easily see why by catching their performances right here.
At the end of the show, Blake Shelton learned his team's fate, and what seemed to be disappointed look on his face, when he found out America voted for Dia Frampton. I think he was upset with America choosing Dia, because he then had no chance of saving Xenia, whom you could tell in his heart of hearts, sees something in her that nobody else does. That was exactly what I told my partner, Ryan last week.
Blake knew Jared Blake and Patrick Thomas were great, but he shocked America last night by choosing the girl he loved most, Xenia. And I can't say I blame him, I would have done the exact same thing. Hey, at least I got 3 out of my 4 predictions correct - woo, hoo!
So just like last week....
Each of the contestants sang a solo performance, and then later in the evening, they performed as a group. In this particular case, it was Cee Lo and Adam Levine.
Only one person from each of the teams will be able to advance depending on the viewers votes, but another one will advance solely on the judge's discretion. What does all this mean? It means Cee Lo will lose half his team and Blake will lose half his team. I loved it last week, and I love it again this week.
As with Christina and Blake last week, the judges provided one-on-one coaching, and they spent some time getting to know their contestants. Cee Lo chilled at the spa with his team.

Nick Jonas Working The Media
Ohhhhh Nick, it seems like just yesterday you were swimming off the shores of Hawaii half-naked, revealing your sweet bubbly-ass, and showing us your rippling muscles. I still say he reminds me so much of the ever-so-handsome John F. Kennedy, Jr. Tell me what girl or boy wouldn't want some of that.
Nick Jonas took the time to work the crowd, before chatting with Extra's Mario Lopez at The Grove.

What a Hot Mess: Diving for Bin Laden
I could think of a million things to do with $400,000. I could take a trip around the world, buy a couple of cars, and pay off our mortgage. Hell, I'd probably still have plenty left over for a Big Mac. But acccording to the New York Post, Bill Warren, from California chooses to do something a bit more patriotic with his money, like search for Osama bin Laden in the Arabian Sea."I'm doing it because I am a patriotic American who wants to know the truth. I do it for the world," Warren told The Daily Post.
Really Warren? Really? What a Hot Mess! So, not only is it costing you $400,000 dollars to get your dumb ass to the other side of the world, you're renting a remote-controlled submarine that will cost you $1,000 a day, aaaaaaaaand renting a ship for $10,000 a day. Jesus. You need help.
And even if Obama had released the images of bin Laden, would it have solved anything? No, because you idiots would have denied it was him. Then you would have found something else to bitch about. What a Hot Mess!"The Obama administration should have released the photo, like we did with Billy the Kid, or [John] Dillinger, or even Saddam Hussein," said Warren. "I have a Russian girlfriend, and she tells me that over there, in intelligence circles, they don't believe bin Laden's really dead."
